2000 Ford Mustang GT 4.6 from North America

Summary:

An excellent performance, stylish vehicle

Faults:

Some imperfections on the paint job. A dew minor spots which were refinished under warranty.

General Comments:

Terrific driving vehicle. Awesome acceleration with a great v-a-r-o-o-m sound. This car really turn heads when driving by. I feel very sassy in it. Believe me, if you buy one, you will not be the same person behind those wheels. It'll put a smile on your face.

2000 Ford Mustang 2 door Coupe Gold Package 3.8 efi from North America

Summary:

I was told if I had nothing nice to say don't say anything

Faults:

I had a short in the headlight assemble causing the headlights to go off going down the highway.

My air conditioning quit working, the switch went bad.

The inner guard for the right rear rotor came off, this was the first 3,000 miles.

I went to change my oil at 5,000 miles and noticed transmission fluid so it went back to the shop, they put a front seal in fix to it.

I did a 10,000 oil change and my transmission was leaking so back to the shop it went. They took the transmission back out, put new seals in, put the torque converter under pressure - not leaking so they put a new pump in the transmission just like Ford Motor Company told them to do, they put the transmission back in the car, they test drove the car 20 miles and checked the transmission and yes, it was leaking.

The car has been sitting at the dealership for three weeks now. Maybe they got the window down on the driver's side and cannot get it back up and fix it 'NOT'.

General Comments:

I cannot get the dealership to work on my car, they said that Ford Motor Company has to call the shots now. Ford Motor Company says it's poor workmanship from the dealership.

In the 7 months the car has been in the shop, I think the bulb has burnt out.

Very poor workmanship on Ford's part, they didn't tell me I had to buy two Mustangs so I would have a spare why the other one was in the shop. While Ford is making their mind up who is going to fix the car, I had other Mustangs, but this is the last one. Still waiting for Wellston Ohio.

You should have bought a "real" mustang! Next time, buy a Saturn if your looking for a womans car.

I agree, if you are going to buy a Mustang, you have a few options... GT, SVT Cobra, Rousch, or Saleen. Yes, you've guessed it, none of these use the 3.8 V-6!!!

2000 Ford Mustang GT 4.6L V8 from North America

Summary:

Great muscle car for the bucks, would buy another

Faults:

Nothing.

General Comments:

Love the car. Just go wild over the sound of the engine as I accelerate from 0-100.

Leather seats a bit slippery, fix and finish not as good as the Mazda.

Body styling reminds me of the early pony cars, one of the reasons I bought it.

It is a great looking car. I drag raced a Porsche and beat it. The steering is also great.

I have a mustang 5.0, and I was curious. What kind of Porsche was it? I'm sure you wouldn't brag about beating a 944 or a 914!

2000 Ford Mustang GT Coupe 4.6 from North America

Summary:

Fast, cheap, and all American

Faults:

It would stall at the most odd times. I was racing it once and at the end of the 1/4 mile all systems went down e.g. power brakes, steering. I thought the belt fell off, but it didn't. I turned the car off and then on again and every thing was fine. This happened to me more than once. Not just when I was racing it.

General Comments:

13.99@99mph is pretty good for bone stock. I pushed it into the high 12's with no filter. The shift box is too far away and I could never get the seat just the way I want it. There's no weight in the back. That gives it no grip and the tires spin all the time. That's OK if you want to do a burn out till your tires pop.

Overall I like the new look. The side scoops bring back that sixty's look. They could have changed the inside considering it is the same as the 98.
