2008 GMC Sierra review from North America
"I'll drive it until the wheels fall off"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing has gone wrong yet.
General comments?
I have the crew cab model.
Interior is roomy and very comfortable. I have the model just above the work truck (SLT1 I believe)... no extras. Has everything I need straight from factory... cruise, power locks, CD/MP3 player, and air.
My only complaint is the cheap front armrest/console. There is just no lid over the storage area, so when a third person rides in the middle you have to take the stuff out and store it somewhere else. Also, when it is up there are no cup holders (except for the useless one molded in the door).
It's a little noisy inside with the windows down, but with the cab closed it's quiet as a church mouse.
Seems to be very solidly built, with plenty of power. I use it like a truck (loaded to the hard stops) and it still handles well with plenty of pull. On the highway it's smooth as silk.
My only real complaint is that I didn't wait a few more months until the bottom fell out of the market completely... could have saved another $5000.
