2002 GMC Sonoma ZR5 4.3 Vortec from North America

Summary:

It is a perfect truck for a woman

Faults:

I have not had any problems with the truck. It is very reliable. It is excellent in the snow and ice as long as it is in four wheel drive. It is very light on the rear end so it is useless if not in four wheel drive on snow and ice.

General Comments:

I like the truck very much.

The one thing I do not like is that the floor on the passenger side in the front dips down at an angle so doesn't leave much foot room.

Love the quad cab.

I wouldn't buy another truck without the quad cab with the four doors.

The ZR5 is a very sporty looking truck.

I did a comparison with other trucks before making my purchase.

I tried out the Chevy S-10 which is the same exact truck except the Chevy is plain Jane and the ZR5 is a sporty package.

I tried out the Dodge Dakota Sport quad cab, but it was a little too big for me. It sits up a lot higher.

I am happy with the choice I made.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Hi,

I am a ZR5 owner as well. I think that the truck is awesome!!! It is really good in the snow and has a real ability to get the party started. I don't know what it is, but this truck is THE TRUCK to get.

I have recently purchased a 2003 GMC Sonoma ZR5 and I love it as well. I haven't got to try it in the snow or mud yet, but I am assuming it will do what I love. The cab is a good size for a couple of average size people.

Well hello, I have a 2002 three door cab and love it... I totally agree it is a great truck for a woman.. the maintenance that I have done is just regular things all vehicles need... have had no great problem... the illusive rattle is in my truck too... and the constant unscrewing of bolts from the tail gate tethers... but other than that...it's a great truck... happy driving guys and girls... GMC rocks.
