I don't understand the fascination with Hondas?
My wife is high on them too, after this being our third one with all 3 being nothing but problem after problem after problem, I have finally convinced her we will not buy another!
It all started out with brake linings, no problem, I consider that a maintenance item, not really a repair, but after 4K on new linings it needed them again GRRRR! This time the mechanic replaced the calipers and rotors, thinking that will make them last; well it worked, but I could almost buy a used car for the price of having all that replaced, since even the parts seem to priced at a premium over other cars.
Next we have 2) 02 sensors go bad; bam another $300.
Fuel pump; Just under $500.
P/s Pump and rack OUCH $1200.
Idle control valve solenoid $300.
Computer module $1600.
I have more in parts than I paid for the car to begin with, AND I'm not even counting the normal stuff like plugs, wires, belts, hoses, struts, shocks, tires, filters.
I hate these cars now!
I think to fairly judge whether a Honda is a good car, you should buy a much newer one. (At least one built in this century.
Come on now, this car was 11 years old when you purchased it.
You say you've owned three. Where they all well used when you got them???
