All struts were crap when I got it.
Front coils cracked at 173000 miles.
Front right balljoint went at 192000.
I'm so sick of the car, its always falling apart.
It has some problem in the rain and dies on the interstate.
Hondas are all the same.
Well of course the car is gonna have problems when you have that many miles on the car and it also depends on how you drive it and treat it.. I have a 1989 Honda accord LX and mine has 126000 miles on it and it is running perfectly.
How ironic... we bought a '94 Geo Prizm for our son and are now looking at replacing it with a '89 Accord LX. The Geo leaks water at two different windows and two panel buttons, the defroster and hazard, keep falling into the panel when pushed. We've replaced the muffler, some screws on the muffler's holder that rotted out and two tires (one was a Firestone that blew on the interstate and did substantial body damage to the driver's side front and side panels). Our main concern is its lack of horsepower. The Geo has no get up and go, even on flat runs. It's just not safe merging onto the highway.
We currently own three other Hondas - a '92 Accord (manual) with 243,000+ miles, a '97 Accord (auto) with 83,000+ miles and a 2005 Accord (auto) with 44,000+ miles. We're convinced Honda and Toyota make the most reliable cars.
