I bought my 2003 Hyundai Tiburon last April. I have been having problems with my power windows. I brought it in and they fixed them, well sorta. They said something in the window needed some lubricant. I thought that sounded strange, because eventually the lubricant would come off and I would need to go back and have my windows lubed again. I took my car in again and they decided to order a switch for the driver side window. I have to have it installed this week. I don't expect that this will solve the problem. Anyone else having this problem? Also, I noticed someone had a sunroof motor recall for their 2003 Tiburon. Should I have received a recall message about this? I just had something recalled on the brakes or brake fluid leakage. I brought it in for that, I expect that it was fixed.

Oh yea I forgot in my other rant that I had a problem with my drivers side Power Window. The Window motor apparently was packed too tightly with grease, a common problem with the Tiburon Motors apparently. The grease slowly works it's way out of the motor and pushes apart the contacts, keeping the power from flowing through the motor and allowing the window to go up and down. To fix it they just replaced the motor, and it works great now. Too bad it was stuck down when the rain came!

I bought my 2003 Hyundai Tiburon new in January of 2003. It was great for a while. I have not had any major problems with the way the car runs. I have had it in the shop four different times for six different problems since January 2004. The first was for a recall on the brakes. The second time was because my drivers side door lock kept getting stuck in the locked position. I would have to turn the car off and take the key out of the ignition to use the remote to get my door unlocked. The third time I took it in I had three different problems. The passenger door lock assembly was getting stuck. The numbers on the radio kept going away. The paint on the hood and fenders is chipping like crazy. They fixed the door, ordered a new radio, and told me I would have to come back when the Hyundai Rep was there so he could look at the paint.

They finally called to tell me the new radio was in and when the Hyundai Rep would be in. Then I got another recall notice! This time about the gas tank. Long story short, they put in the new radio and fixed the recall and told me that the paint problems are all my fault. Apparently washing my car once a week is not good enough. I was told that I need to check it every night and rub off any bugs or bird "manure." I was also told that since it is black I need to wax it every month in the summer and every three months in the winter! They will however repaint just the hood in "Good Faith!"

I can't wait to get it paid down enough to trade it in.

I have had my 2003 Tiburon for about a year and I love it. Its got great looks and its pretty fast. I've only had to replace a bad fuel sensor one month after purchase, which was covered under warranty. Other than that I've had no problems until now. There is some rattling coming from the hatch area and it is very annoying especially over bumpy roads. Does anyone else have this problem?

The rattling from the rear of the car is probably the antenna coming loose. mine did. The only problems I've had with my tib is that my cd player died, my check engine light came - something to do with a bad sensor, which they replaced with a bad sensor, which took about 6 hours to fix - and the driver side door locked quit working. Where do the paint chips occur. I've got some chips on the bumper, but other than these the paint looks fine. A little too many swirl marks from waxing?
