2001 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C320 Elegance 3.2 V6 from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Not worth the asking price, poor quality

Faults:

Automatic gearbox failure at 8500 miles.

Suspension links at 6000 Miles.

Wheel (Lug) nuts corroded.

Alloy wheels corroded.

Dash air vents broken.

General Comments:

It is a very comfortable car to drive, but it tends to spend more time at the dealers than on the road, where it should be.

People who are used to old Mercedes qualities will be very disapointed with the general build of these new cars.

2001 Mercedes-Benz C-Class AMG 3.2 Kompressor from UK and Ireland

Summary:

A beaut in its own right

Faults:

I've had no problems with this car at all, it is one of the best cars I have ever bought, I love them that much I bought my wife one too!

General Comments:

This car is a beaut in its own right, its seriously quick, it handles very well I would never down grade to a cheapo car like a ford or any cheap make like that.

2001 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C320 Elegance 3.2 V6 from UK and Ireland

Summary:

A seriously quick car

Faults:

Bonnet out of alignment.

Heated rear window burnt out.

Loose near side headlamp.

Parking brake sticking.

Suspension links knocking.

Corrosion on one alloy wheel.

Front fog lamp taking in water.

Leather auto transmission gaiter holed.

General Comments:

This is a very rapid car and I love the way it drives.

Despite the faults listed, I still am very happy with it.

I would not have expected these sort of problems on a £30.000 car.

The dealers have been very helpful in rectifying the problems.

2001 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Classic 2.0 petrol from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Smooth and eye-catching cruiser

Faults:

Kinked washer hose on delivery - windscreen washers did not work.

Wind noise around front passenger door - has still not been corrected after three dealer attempts. I've given up now!

General Comments:

An elegant and attractive car that is a pleasure to own and drive.

Engine sounds rough when pressed, but is smooth and quiet when cruising.

Experience with main Mercedes dealer was disappointing, due mainly to an arrogant and unhelpful attitude.

Summary:

Bring my Audi back!

Faults:

This car is one big fault! Mine has been back to the dealership twice in 1200 miles with electrical problems!

General Comments:

If anyone could tell me where my 1998/S Audi A4 1.8T is, please contact me.

I want it back! I brought Mercedes because of their reliable reputation.

I obviously got a bad one, or has anyone else had similar problems?

I have a Mercedes 320 which was fine for the first 15 months. Now it has put me at physical risk three times because I have lost power accelerating and also while slowing down. The car has been in the shop for four out of the last five weeks. They can't figure out what is wrong with it. I had two Mercedes before this. Neither of them was ever in for any repair problems.
