I have paint chips in front.
I also have a leather seat that has started to develop a small crack.
This is my first Mercedes. I got a 4matic version of this car. It is a beauty! I love the car except it is very expensive to fix if it is not covered by warranty. It also seems to have bad leather seats and the exterior paint is easily chipped. I only have the car for 3 months and it has already developed paint chips!!! From what I read in the internet, this is one weakness of the car. Otherwise, everything is great.
I own a 1994 E 420. My leather seats are in near perfect condition, thanks to two things. Tinting my windows and using high end leather cleaners and conditioners. You might want to consider investing in those two things.
Paint chips and quality of interior trim were by #1 and #2 beefs with the W210 E-Class (1995-2002). Your 1994 model is a world away in terms of quality...
I have owned a 1997 e320 for 37000 of it's 75000 miles and the leather seats are perfect. The seats were dry when I got the car off of lease, but leather conditioner brought them back to life. The leather is thicker than most and therefore when it drys out, it is really dry best. wishes e.
