General Comments:

This car was GREAT!!! It was beautiful and was safe. Had everything you could ask for in a car!!!

Things go wrong with every car, but on Mercedes they last for ever!!! (IF YOU TAKE CARE OF THEM)

This E260 inline 6 sedan was powerful and safe; built like a tank!!You know when a car is safe when it can be ran over by a monster truck and the roof is still standing, not crushed like any other car would!

If I had a chance to buy this car or one just like it in great condition, I would in an instant!! GREAT CAR!!

My family had this car about a year ago and we would still have it today, but last year we were travailing with me in the passenger seat going about 75km/h when we smoked the back of a Toyota. The Toyota flew up over the curb on to the grass and our Mercedes Benz E260 stayed straight!! Seat belts tightened and crumble zones made it so the engine would not end up on your lap, and held us back in our seats and we never had a cut or anything!!! All 4 doors of the E260 sedan still opened and worked like they did before the accident (like new)! Lucky for the Toyota no one was in it. That's why we do not have that beautiful car today!!I think every Mercedes is a GREAT car, but this one was AWESOME and I will never forget it!!!

Faults:

The morning after I bought the car, I found the first problem. When I was starting the engine, it was shaking, and it was about to switch off, the mark on the tachometer was 1.2 to 0.3, and was going up and down.. after few minutes it worked normally.

Well after replacing the fuel filter, injector filter, and cleaning the injectors, the car began starting normal in the mornings. The total cost for this repair was about 50$ I also changed the oil, and oil filter for 50$.

Then after 2 weeks I found that my car almost EATS oil! More than 1 liter for 2 weeks, I was driving not more than 800km..

I changed the rubbers on the valves, it cost me 50$ including labour.

But the problem is not gone, so.. now I am about to change the cylinder rings and gasket, it will cost around 110$ for me.. I hope after such a job, my car will work fine.

General Comments:

Well, despite all that problems, I like this car very much! It is very comfortable, nice, and reliable! The only thing I would like is more HP... more power... well maybe my next car will be a W124 with better, and more powerful engine!
