1995 Mercury Cougar LX review from North America
"Very reliable car for me over the years with minimal maintenance"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The vehicle is a two door model. The driver side door is extremely heavy and has started sagging slightly to the point that the top portion of the door is rubbing against the top window frame. The friction has caused the top window frame piece to loosen and to start coming off. When the door is opened, there is a "click" because that particular piece sticks out.
General comments?
I turned around in a parking lot to take a closer look at a parked car, just exactly like mine as same make and model, color etc. I noticed the exact same problem on their driver side door and window as well. This leads me to believe that this may be a common problem for this make and year? Is it the Post that needs to be reinforced or can something basically be tightned. I need to address this problem before I fix the window frame.
