Yes, go to a tyre store and get your wheels balanced!

Hi, I'm looking through all the pajero/shogun LWB items, as I intend to buy one, but can't decide between 3.0L petrol and 2.5L diesel some say that there is hardly any difference in mpg and the petrol version is a lot cheaper here in the UK, and also cheaper to service.

Has anyone owned both the vehicles that can honestly compare the two. I will be using it for commuting, some short runs and towing our caravan. My other option for the price is a discovery, but have heard lots of horror stories from forums and the like. Strangely though people I know that have owned them seem to love them. Please help I am looking to spend in the region of £2000.

I have the same problem with the 2800 d turbo. I was told it could be a leaking injector this will cause diesel to run back to the tank over night. but once primed will run fine all day. try putting an in line non return filter on the filter inlet pipe.

If you're pajero starts then stops then starts and runs all day its probably the pump as I had the same problem, but £740.00 sorted it.

1m thinking of buying a 1992 3.0 litre NH pajero can anyone tell me how the go on the open road sitting on about 110kmp (65mph) and roughly what the fuel economy will be around, its done 271,000 km not sure if that's a lot for this type of vehicle thanks.

I have a 1992 2door Pajero 2.5TD a/t. I have the same complaint, the air conditioning seems to go bonkers. I don't know if it's from being knocked around or this model has a really serious problem. I could sure use a manual transmission though, the automatic leaves me hanging in the middle of an overtake. Is there still an overdrive switch with the manual transmission? any issues with the switchable shock absorbers getting stuck?

Thanks for the reply guys.

About to buy a 1993 Pajero 2.5 with 72,000 miles.

It's had new turbo and gears. Expensive jobs I have been told. Any hints to avoid the dreaded engine over heating?

What engine oil do you recommend?

Are green glow plugs the best?

It will not be used as a off roader, just a family carrier around town, school runs etc.

What are the weak points that all these suffer from?

Can an extra fan be placed in a certain place to make sure the engine does not over heat?

This will be my first 4x4, although nervous that it will be plagued with repairs, excited at owning a robust looking 4x4.

Get a 4 wheel alignment and 4 wheel balance; that should fix your problem.
