1993 Nissan 240SX Limited Edition from North America

Faults:

Not many things have gone wrong.

Random guys wanting to race.

Random guys pulling up to me; my windows are tinted.

Random guys blowing the horn until I roll the window down and they notice I'm a GIRL.

Not wanting to talk about my car.

General Comments:

I love my car, this car is amazing; it was built by a genius. Why this car isn't talked about more is beyond me. I love it, love it.

So many people ask if they can buy it, and the answer is nope. The Kelly Blue Book price, to me is priced way too low to ever sell.

At the dealer when I get an oil change, they even like it.

Someone even tried to steal it once; thank you Jesus for the brake club I had on it.

I need a new top, but the car still looks great.

My car loves me also; will never sell. The way it turns a corner... speechless.

1993 Nissan 240SX SE 2.4L 4 cylinder naturally aspirated from North America

Summary:

I love my car, it is prodigious

Faults:

The only thing I've had to replace in my time (besides brakes) has been front struts and spark plugs.

General Comments:

It is a wonderful drive with an excellent seating position especially for tall people (I'm 6'4"), precise steering and a crisp transmission. The clutch feels good.

It's great for cornering and good to have fun with if you like to drift even just a bit.

Awful in snow obviously. I recommend sacks of sand in the boot if you must drive it in snow.

1993 Nissan 240SX SE from North America

Summary:

Wish they still made it!

Faults:

Windshield washer hold busted.

Frame is getting a little bit rusty.

General Comments:

Got this car from my cousin... And jealous that he had it. Finally got his car and it's a joy! Best car in the world... Wish they still made it! If I see this car for sale, I will buy it with no second thoughts, unless if it's a crap car...

Drive in it mostly every day. Better built car than I know of; my brother's car is 7 years younger than mine and has had more work than mine!!!

1993 Nissan 240SX SE KA24DE from North America

Summary:

I love this car, and hope to get the problem fixed and keep it 10 more years!

Faults:

Heads-up Display worked occasionally; now not at all.

Digital Speedometer / Odometer does not work.

Sticks in 1st gear and takes 10-15 minutes to shift; sometimes have to power off and reset (works 50% of time) or shift into neutral; sticks in 3rd gear when stopped at lights and has to be stopped, power off, then power on and hope it resets.

Cruise Control does not work.

AM/FM Radio does not work / no lights / antenna motor out.

Leather seats split.

Dashboard cracked.

Door side panels separated from metal doors.

Backseat seams split.

General Comments:

For all its faults, I love this car. It's sporty and still looks relevant. Handling is the best of all of my Nissan owned cars, especially at higher speeds.

Mine has the Sports package, which makes the ride a bit hard for some, but I like the feel of the highway. When cruise worked, great. Long hauls, no problem. Around town, she'd rather be on open roads and has to be run once a week.

The backseat is not really for people. This is a 2-person coupe. Big dog for back OK, except the windows don't open,

I've been rough with her, and she lives in the city so there are some serious dings and dents. It is that deep red, but didn't hold up great on back bumper. Would paint, but why?

I just wish I could get the gear shifting problem fixed.. new injectors (all) ; transmission perfect and tested; speed sensor installed; no one can find this intermittent problem. Sticks in gears mostly with me, the wench. I've probably spent almost $3,000 in diagnostics and parts to diagnose and fix this truly annoying problem. I will never again use a Nissan Dealership.
