Alternator had to be replaced under extended warranty at approximately 60k.
Rust under the doors at 100k in Canada.
Various annoying noises from 80k.
Stereo died at around 60k.
I love the car's looks, but it seriously lacks get up and go. I always felt that at one point Nissan planned to offer the Maxima V6 as an option on the 240. The engine mounts have got to be close, No? With that in mind could it be all that difficult to drop a V6 into a 240? Has anyone done this? Not that I have heard.
Handles wonderfully.
Shift throws are too long.
Essentially a two seater with great trunk space.
If you change the ka24de motor in that car by adding a turbo you could have up to 630hp to the wheels at your disposal. ka24det power is cheap too! 3K will buy you all the equipment for less than a v6 conversion and without the weight.
600+ hp.. Ka24de-t will not produce that much hp unless you do some serious block work. And for 3k you can't...!
