1985 Nissan Cherry review from UK and Ireland
"Very reliable"
General comments?
Got this car from my dad, who had it for about 5 years as a general run around, and gave it to me when I needed a car.
Had it at 30k when he got it, and was constantly running up and down the country in it, put over 120k on it in about 8 years and never once had a single problem with it.
It was very basic inside, but if you're looking for a car that just gets you from A to B, this is perfect.
Sold it to a mate, and he still has it on the road now at about 180k. He had to replace the exhaust, which cost him £25, which he fitted himself.
Rust is quite heavy on the wings, but it's still getting though the MOT OK.
Tires were about £12 each in 2005.
Used to be in the forces and we would use it as a civi car in exercises; was put into ditches and hedges (it was really abused) and had upto 7 people in it at one time.
You won't get any points for the look of the car, but the reliability was amazing.
