One of my friends had an Oltcit. Although he said that it was a good car, most of the time he spent repairing it. I think he wasn't satisfied with the consumption, and he told me that if the engine was not well adjusted, the fuel consumption raised. What do you know about this?

The 12TRS is a very good car and its boxer engine is perfect for high rpm (alnost7000rpm).It's a pitty these cars aren't built any more.

Hy! My name is Michael, I am from Romania and I have an Oltcit since 1988. I made over 140.000 km and the engine is still very good. I'm very happy with it and even if I'll buy another car I'll keep my Oltcit car. Bye.

Any car that hasn't had it's engine tuned will become thirstier, fuel-wise. It may not be noticeble at first, but after awhile fuel consumption increases if the engine has not been tuned. Depends on how long you wait between tuneups, and on how many aspects of tuning you address.

If you drive a car that needs a tune up it's not like you are going to hurt anything, it'll just be sluggish and use more gas.

I had an Oltcit for 7 years from 1996 to 2003. I never had a problem with the ignition not even in the winter, but I changed the sparks every year. I remember once I start the car at -25 degrees C at the first key. I used to cover the lower front of the car after -5 C. This car is very easy to maintain (it was my first car and I always change myself the suspension parts and the brake pads). For this class is very performant and easy to drive on almost any road. There is a lot of space in the car (I used to sleep sometimes in the car after I put down the backseat. Unfortunately I was forced to sell my car when I leaved the country and my actual car (Dodge Colt 1993) it's a nightmare compared to Oltcit.

Hi, my name is Gabi and I'm from Romania. I own a Oltcit; I hate it. Do you know why? Just because it's red, that's the only trouble with it

Hi, my name is Sebastian.

I am from Ecuador (South America). I have had my Citroen Club 12 TRS for about 13 years. And I'm really happy. I made some changes in its extraordinary boxer engine. So it has 80 BHP.

It's really easy to maintain, and the car parts are of very good quality.

You can check my car at this site:
