I have been driving my Myvi for a year and a half now (coming close to 35,000km.

Problems that arose during this period

1. Water leaking into front passenger side where the carpets were wet

2. smelly aircon (which is related to the above)

Both problems have been rectified.

3. Front break lining problems rectified.

4. Problem encountered today 12 Dec 2006 slight sound coming in from the engine or wheels, especially when my steering is turn to the right can hear louder sound, don't know whether it's the bearing or not?

Any comments?

The water leakage problem can de due to a defective seal behind the brake booster. This problem is known to happen on first batch myvi. regarding the sound while turning, it could be due to wheel bearing or drive shaft problem. it is best that you deal with the Customer Relation Exec if the SC cannot solve your problems as they don work for the SC, but Directy under Perodua HQ.

It's me again. I have managed to claim my car's Rake and Pinion assy as it was making rattling noises at 48000km.Now at 65000km, it is having the same problem and i suspect the brake disc rotor is bend again as my car vibrates as I apply the brake. Now the problem is my car is no longer under warranty. For me, this is the most problematic new car I ever owned compared to my previous Peroduas and Toyota.

The brake discs on our 2007 Myvi became warped at 7500km and are due to be changed under warranty at the first service.

This becomes evident whilst braking as the steering shakes slightly.

I think this is due to the fact that the car has very good acceleration and performance for the class, and the brakes are budget items and cannot cope with the harder braking needed, and thus overheat and warp. Driven as intended (!!) this fault would probably not occur...

Excellent car though-and Perodua are good with warranty claims in our experience.

I am the original reviewer, anyway, the problem with the brake rotor is back so is the steerng rack. worse is that now I have iregular engine idle speed which is caused by the engine ECU. current mileage is 73k km.

Perodua refused to entertain my claims as they say my warranty is over. I have replaced the brake disc rotors at RM200 a pair and the steering rack Assy cost RM550.

The brake is bloody annoying. You may want to try getting a set of disk brakes from Toyota. They are plug and play for certain models.
