I also have a GT, but I hate my car. It is an accident waiting to happen. My steering column broke and the wheel came off in my lap. Never again will I own a Pontiac.

I also own a 3.1L V6 GT. I got it wit' 107,000 miles on it.. and guess what?! It runs like a dream! The only thing I've had to change so far is the battery, but that was a $60 dollar change, so it wasn't all that big.

I agree wit' you on the point of acceleration, the car loves to kick when it shifts, especially at the 3,000RPM mark. And as for bumps, I don't really feel bumps mostly because I'm flying over them at 60MPH. :)

I have a 1994 Grand AM GT, with the 3.1 V6 and the car goes, I have an ignition chip, and an exost system on it and I recently from 30mph to 90mph was able to stay neck in neck with an older Camarrow. I have no complaints the only work I've done has been regular maintenance. The look of the car is also eye caching, I have 16in chrome rims, under body lights, and am waiting to put a hood scoop on it until I have the money to get it custom painted.

I have a 1994 V6 Grand Am, and I think the 4 cylinder seems to be the one everyone has a problem with. Any 4 cylinder used will have problems if not well maintained; they are small engines, especially in a mid sized car... think about it; a big person being carried around by a small person.

I bought mine used, and have only a oil pan gasket leak, but it's used... all used cars come needing something to be fixed. As long as it was maintained by the owner, and you are buying from this person and know how well they take care of their cars, then you will be taking a risk... it's used...
