1984 Pontiac Parisienne Brougham 305, 4 barrel from North America

Summary:

Very nice

Faults:

Brake pads.

A little bit of brake line.

Gasoline filter.

Several oil changes.

Just normal stuff, for a 17 year old junk heap {I mean it with love}.

General Comments:

The car interior was excellent at purchase.

Lots and lots of ponies. 4 barrel works excellent.

A dream to drive.

Fastest car that Pontiac made this year.

Very comfortable.

Terrible on gas.{about 18 miles per gallon}.

Still, it's worth the drive.

1984 Pontiac Parisienne from North America

Summary:

A reliable, and beautiful piece of machinery

Faults:

The brakes on the car recently needed to be replaced and I don't know much about this sort of thing, but it idles in drive at 35 miles per hour, I don't think that can be a good thing.

General Comments:

I love the car and if I could drive it for the rest of my life, I would.

1984 Pontiac Parisienne V8 350 from North America

Summary:

A reliable, comfortable yacht

Faults:

So far I've had to replace the basics, but it would not pass the new inspection test without $400 for a new catalytic converter. Also, the windshield wiper motor and turning signal lever had to be replaced.

The driver's side door seal has deteriorated.

The passenger's back door sticks and it has to be slammed shut.

The radio has a habit of turning off and never coming back on.

Most parts have been readily available and relatively inexpensive.

General Comments:

This car is unstoppable! I once had an engine fire and the computer was fried. I was able to drive the monster car for six months without it.

A few months ago I was hit when the other driver was not looking where they were going. Even though she had substantial damage to her headlines and hood and couldn't open her door, my Parisienne had only a dent. The impact only felt like I was in a bumper car. The bumper was incredibly easy to replace - it just came right off.

I get around 17.5 miles per gallon.

It is a very comfortable ride!

I am a proud owner of a 1984 pontiac perisianne and it runs beautiful. I bought it for $150 and there is nothing wrong with it except the starter. I have had nothing but fun with my car and will not sell it unless a good price comes up.

I own a 1984 Parisienne, I love it! I bought it for $500 dollars about a year and a half ago and the only problem I have had was the heater core went out, but I got that replaced for only $52 and change!! I cannot believe it, all of my other cars have been junkers. I realize I really got lucky when I came across this parisienne.

1984 Pontiac Parisienne V8 from North America

Summary:

Good running car

Faults:

Left passenger door does not open from outside.

General Comments:

This is a good old car. Even though it's ugly it never dies. Totally reliable car that's made to last through a number of years. It's been in my family for years.

It's a pig on gas.

I am a one owner 1984 Parisienne. Good gas mileage and 10/10 reliable car.

Drive better than the new Tahoe I have..

It the best car I have ever known.

My seventeen year old calls it the "boat"...but he loves it.

I love her, she is my baby.

I have had some problems with her though, both calipers froze and killed both front rotors a week apart from each other, and the muffler fell off.

I still love her, I'm 17 and I have had a 82 Caprice, both of them are really good cars. I love the carb on it, I hate fuel injection and the gas mileage is crap, but oh well, she is still the best car out there, no rust on the body.

Best car ever, my baby Parisienne.

1984 Pontiac Parisienne 305 ci from North America

Summary:

It's a big boat

Faults:

Normal things have gone wrong (for a 17 year old car) - gas pump, radiator, suspension... no major problems.

General Comments:

The extra money that you pay in gas (because of the big motor), you save it on repairs... Cause this car dosen't quit.
