1988 Pontiac Sunbird GT from North America - Comments

I love my 89 Sunbird Turbo. I drag race this car and run very low 14 second 1/4 miles. I have just gone from 10 psi of boost to 15 psi boost and will add slicks. This car will easly run 13 second 1/4 miles. I pity any car on the street that I pull up against sans a full race car. In the 1/8 mile I have even beaten a Z-28 SS.

My best friend has a black '89 Sunbird GT. I have a blue '92 Sunbird SE 4-door. I would give anything to replace my 2.0L with automatic for his 2.0L Turbo with manual transmission. The GT should never have dumped the turbo for the V6. The turbo made this model line stand out.

I have the only Pontiac Sunbird GT Convertible existing in Italy. It's red and in good condition. It arrived here in 1992 from Washington, and I got it in April 2005. Everybody is amazed when they see these cars, which are unknown here in Rome. Hello everybody.

Well, sorry to burst your bubble, but a 13 sec car really isn't that fast. Don't line up against my GTP, or you might get embarrassed.

You're comparing a V6 supercharged 3800 to a 4 cylinder 1.8 or 2.0 turbo? For 4's with very little mods that is excellent. The Buick GNX did 13.0 stock in the quarter mile.
