Hi, I have a 1993 pontiac sunbird 2.0 3 speed auto. My dad bought it in 96 with 79,000 miles. I've had to put a new alternator, water pump, heater core, and I've done the brakes three times and they need done again. It ran great until about 9 months ago The HEAD GASKET blew! It still gets me where I need to go, It just doesn't have the power it used to. I ALSO HAVE THE DASH PROBLEm, I have a brand new pioneer deck, with pioneer 3.5" in the dash and pioneer 6'9"s in back. I installed the stereo just above the factory tape deck, If anyone is interested in how to do this email me at Canihavebutteronmymilkduds@yahoo.com

Overall Its been an OK car, with great gas mileage 23city 32 highway.

I have a 93 SE 3.1 V6 and nothing, but praise for it. I have yet to put a penny into it the whole year I've owned it. Besides adding a $2000 stereo system, but all in all, the car has been great. In fact, I'm driving it to Florida this week from Canada, that's how much confidence I have in the ol girl.

I bought a 93 sunbird LE and that thing is a beast, I have a cold air intake and an exhaust system. I can agree with the warping above the sterio. Also the doors are rusting out, but besides that it's a reliable car and it can smoke a civic any day of the week.

I have a Sunbird 93 2.0 Liters. It has problems with the rear brakes and the fan motor. The rear brakes stop the wheels suddenly when you stop, I have to buy new drums. Anyway the car has almost 400,000 miles.

I have had my 1993 Sunbird SE for the past 13 years. Unfortunately, I have had to retire it on Aug. 21, 2006. It had served me well. I will miss it very much. It was an extremely good car. I drove it in the winters as well. They don't make cars like that anymore. Pity!

I have a 93 Sunbird LE with 106,000 miles.

The previous owner changed the water pump, and radiator.

This car is awesome; lots of power for a 4 cylinder. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

I have a 93 Sunbird 3.1v6, from 167,000kms to 191,500, I've replaced: Two front struts/ Frost plug/ had Rear Wheel-wells welded because of rust/ 1 Rotor/ Brake shoes and pads/ 3 bearings/ 2 front Wheel alignments/ 5 Oil changes/ 2 Rear Spring-kits (brakes) / 2 Read brake cylinders/ 2 Brake lines and Brake fluid/ Ignition switch replaced (wasn't necessary= loose wires at starter) / 1 Transmission pan/ 3 Headlights/ 1 Tail light/ 1 Heater Core/ 1 Alternator/ 1 Water Pump/ and I still need to get 2 CV-axles and 1 or 2 Engine mounts which is on tomorrow to-do list, Rear defrost doesn't work, or the Windshield Washer. but yea other than that the car's fine...

I have a 93 sun bird and both doors will not open by the key or the door handles. I took the door panels off and didn't see anything wrong. Has anyone had to deal with a problem like this? If so what did you do?

I agree with these conditions.
