I have a 2007 ION with 6600 miles on it. I am getting between 24 and 26 mpg. I am told by the dealer that I will se over 32 mpg when it gets around 12000 miles on it.I don't see that happening. It rides rough, it's noisy, and uncomfortable. Should have kept my old car.

My 2007 has 42,000 miles on it and I have yet to see over 30 mpg on it. I absolutely hate this car and I don't feel safe driving it. My husband traded his Corvette for this car so that I could go to school full time and his old car got better gas mileage! The handling is terrible. We did a 360 and nearly took out a sign because once you start sliding, you can't correct in this car (yes, we have new tires). Also, I slammed on my brakes to avoid hitting a dog, the back end started sliding sideways... it handles like I would expect a Tahoe to handle, not a car. Also, driving on a windy day feels like you are going to die. The car jerks sideways in the wind and it makes it difficult to control. If I can get close to what I owe on it, this car is gone and I will never buy another Saturn.

I have a 2007 ION and I love it. There is very little road noise. I get around 32 to 33 miles on the open road and about 26 to 27 in town. We've had our car for about a year and have had no problems with the performance. This winter I got in an unexpected snow storm and it handled great. Love it.

I have a 2007 Saturn Ion and it now has about 50,000 miles on it. I have not had any mechanical issues or costly repairs, and it runs fairly well. My issue is that this vehicle gets terrible gas mileage, especially when compared to the advertised mileage. Is this just my vehicle, or are others having problems.
