I have a 98 SC1 and have never had an issue with mine. It is now at 160km and runs great.
I am the second owner as it came off a lease. All parts are still original, except for the tires, back and front bumpers (I said it was a great car not then I am a great driver).
I would recommend this car to anyone. I hope I am still able to get the parts when the originals start needing replacement.
Thank you Saturn for a very reliable and easy to maintain vehicle.

I had that same problem with my car. The not starting all the time. It turned out to be a crank sensor. Maybe give that a try.

My car is such a piece of junk! I own a 1998 SC-1 coupe.
It looked nice when I first had it, and was a great car to learn standard in. But I've begun to have problems with it :(
The car won't start sometimes, I've had no help in figuring out why? Sometimes it won't turn on until after four or five tries!
If anyone can help explain why, that would be great :)
I also have a problem with losing power maybe?
Sometimes while I am driving, my car just loses power. Anything that is on will turn off!
Including lights, the stereo, everything!
My speedometer and everything go down to zero!
The first time this happened, I was driving at 110 km/hr and was pretty frightened :(
I just want my little car to be safe!
Any help would be great!
