2000 Saturn SL Sedan 1.9L SOHC from North America

Summary:

Perfect for anyone

Faults:

Absolutely nothing has gone wrong with my car.

Although, the right rear speaker seems to go out once and a while, but you turn the radio up and it comes back.

I also notice a noise in the front when I go over a bump, but it doesn't sound serious.

General Comments:

This car is not what I would call high performance, but I'm working on several upgrades. I bought an SPS chambered muffler, and will probable be getting a SPS throttle body, or something. I did spruce up the interior by installing a wood trim kit around the radio, and also added fog lights and tinted the windows, along with detailing the sides. This car has been my pride and joy, and will continue to be for a long time. I recommend this car to anyone, but the manual gets you going faster.

I hear a funny clunky noise in my front end too! it might be different, but have you found what it was yet?

Yea I just replaced the top engine mount on my 2000 SL1, and that got rid of the rattle noise. Apparently it is one of the few faults of these cars; mine went at about 100,000 miles.

Out of curiosity, did you sit in the car before you bought it?

2000 Saturn SL SL1 from North America

Summary:

A definite must have!

Faults:

I've hadn't had any problems with this car. I did have a small shimmy when I pushed the brakes, but it turned out the rotors were slightly warped and the dealership replaced them. Other than that, no complaints.

General Comments:

Owned a 1996 Saturn SL1 prior to this and loved it. Never had any problems with it. Traded it in for a brand new 2000 model because my wife needed an automatic. Very comfortable, good gas mileage and easy to maintain.
