1991 Toyota 4x4 Pickup review from North America

What things have gone wrong with the car?
I had to replace the starter around 50,000 miles. That is the only time it has not started for me.
I had to replace the transmission at 110,000 miles. I'm not saying that it was the truck's fault for the transmission. I haul some heavy loads of firewood and rocks so I strained it pretty good. Other than that, general maintenance is all that has been needed on this truck I love.
General comments?
My 1992 Toyota is the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. Bought it brand new December
of 1991 and have had it since. It always starts and even though I have abused it with a few dents
it looks good.
I will have this truck until it dies. Then I will resurrect it from the dead and keep going!
I backed into a tree and ruined the rear bumper so I replaced it with a tubular chrome bumper that has a tow hitch. The chrome bumper I put on is horrible. It started rusting 6 weeks after putting it on. The company, which I will not name, was not nice to deal with and did not want to work with me on getting it fixed.
I added some Super-springs to help with the sway and keep my truck level while loaded. These
seem to help a lot especially with towing. By the way, this truck is a 4 cylinder and was probably
not made to tow much, but I have managed to tow my Power King tractor on a huge trailer behind
it through the mountains and it did very well. Hope the transmission holds in there!
I also put on some Rancho 9000 adjustable shocks. These have helped fine tune what kind of
ride I like plus I can adjust it to what I need at the time. Very good performers.
