Replaced the starter.
Replaced the original clutch @ 103,000 miles.
Replaced the muffler.
This has been a great car. Plenty of space and great gas mileage. The 9.5 gallon gas tank delivers 310 miles, sometimes more.
Very inexpensive to run. Very reliable.
I have a 1991 Corolla Station Wagon which I bought new & now have 204,000 miles on this car. It just keeps going with no real significant problems, just regular maintenance.
I have replaced the clutch, water pump, & brakes. 2 years ago a deer ran into the front & totally smashed in the hood & folded the radiator. That was repaired.
I've had an ongoing jerkiness when the engine is cold & that's been the case since 10,000 miles. The dealer's service department has never been able to rectify the problem. Tom & Ray from car talk say it's a hairline crack in the distributor, but that has not been found by the mechanics.
Overall this is a great car & I will continue to drive it until it won't go anymore - so I'm hoping for 300,000 miles.
My 1990 Corolla Wagon is the best car I've ever owned. It's better than my 1996 Saturn. I wish more car manufacturers made cars that last as long as Toyotas. There will be a lot less land used for junk yards.
