1993 Toyota Pickup Half Ton Pick-Up review from North America
"A sports car in a trucks body"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing has gone wrong with this truck. Have only had to tune it up twice since '93. Never had to replace a thing besides the clutch, but what do you expect out of a ten year old vehicle.
General comments?
Performance: This truck runs like a sports car. Can easily keep up with most cars on the road except for your high-performance GT's out there. No other truck out there can beat it and 90% of the cars out there will be struggling to keep up with it.
Reliability: Nothing has gone wrong with it except a new clutch was needed, but all manuals have to have a new one eventually.
Comfort: Very small truck. I am 6 foot and I struggle to find a good, comfortable position. I've been looking for some bucket seats to help with this problem, but haven't found a suitable one yet. No tilt on the steering wheel either so no help there.
Now, if your looking for a truck to pull stuff with or for a work truck this isn't the truck for you. It sits low to the ground, isn't a 4x4, and well, it isn't made for off-road. I am looking to put a 302 in this little beast. Once I pop this sucker in it'll beat most anything street legal.
