2015 Toyota Prius 4 1.8 from North America

Summary:

Hottest hybrid on the planet!!

Faults:

Nothing.

General Comments:

I had a 2000 Ford Taurus since day one and put 180,000 miles on it until the transmission went. Being that my brother in law already has a seaglass colored 2015 Prius 4, I began searching for an identical one. Found a white one with only 19,000 miles on it at a Toyota dealer here in Philadelphia. Went to look at it and bought it immediately. It was previously owned by an elderly couple who traded it in on a new 2020. Best of all? It was a certified pre-owned. I really love it! No wonder Consumer Reports rates this as a best used compact car!! Definitely recommend this car! Impressive gas mileage and surprisingly roomy inside. Perfect for Uber and Lyft drivers!

Sounds like you found a nice one!

I am the other 2015 Prius owner reviewer here. I've owned 4 Prius now, LOL. The 2015 I bought last November is my FAVORITE though. Bought it with 14,000 miles as a Certified Pre-Owned at the Toyota dealer. Don't know how old the last owner was (they only drove it 14k miles in 5 years) but in the radio, their phone was saved as "Beverly's Phone"... and when I think of the name Beverly, I think old lady.

I now have 26,000 miles on the car, I put about 1,500 miles on it a month since I bought it. It's like new still. Last tank of gas I averaged 60mpg!! So ridiculous. Ridiculously awesome, that is!

You drove a car with less than 20K miles another 6; isn’t the car still a little green to deliver a verdict on reliability?

I understand that the Prius has earned a reputation for longevity amongst both private and commercial owners. But reviews of such recent purchases are usually done within the ‘honeymoon period’, before much important experience has been had with the car.

The reputation for reliability is more a community thing. These cost hefty money when things go bad.

If they could only improve its looks. One of the ugliest cars.

The 2015 didn't look that bad. The later models are ugly especially from behind. Of course, owners will say it looks amazing. Mother's love I guess :)

2015 Toyota Prius Four 1.8L hybrid from North America

Summary:

Best hybrid out there

Faults:

Absolutely nothing.

General Comments:

Sold my Gen1 Chevy Volt and bought a Prius. Would’ve bought a Gen2 Volt, but GM discontinued it with no immediate replacement, so back to Toyota I go.

The Prius is what it is - and it’s great at what it does. Toyota hit it out of the park with the Prius, and its intended design. Drove the thing to Florida, from Michigan with 3 adults and all our luggage for our cruise; the car still averaged 43mpg on the highway, through mountains, in the winter, loaded to capacity. It actually was <gasp> comfortable on the 22 hour drive. The built in navigation with voice recognition did all the work, verified occasionally during the trip with Waze. But the car's navigation was always spot on. Voice recognition is very good. Love the JBL stereo.

These cars are bullet proof.
