2002 Toyota RAV4 Limited Edition Advantage 2.0 VVTi from Australia and New Zealand

Summary:

A stylish go anywhere car

Faults:

So far so good. The quality of the car is good, but there are some areas of the car which can be of a concern. The quality of the seats is questionable and when you do drive over a dirt road, the dash board tends to shake a lot. I have an automatic so if you want to overtake the car next to you from the traffic lights, you do have to press the gas pedal hard and it can become a bit noisy.

General Comments:

The car is very easy to drive with a high Driving Position. The controls are within easy reach and the placement of switches is very logical. I have appreciated key features within the car such as the "Slide-able" rear seats. I have been able to fit a dishwasher in the back without having to fold the seats down. (I do have the 5-Door Model). The car is very economical and servicing prices is what you would expect to service a medium sized family car. I would recommend anyone interested in buying a small SUV to buy the RAV4.

2002 Toyota RAV4 d4d 2.0 turbo diesel from UK and Ireland

Summary:

A brilliant, but sporty little 4x4

Faults:

Nothing.

General Comments:

The 3 door 2l turbo diesel is a brilliant little 4x4. It handles really well on the UK's icy roads during winter. But not too sure how it would handle in mud or thick sand. For a 4x4 its pretty quick, I have had 110 mph out of her on the open road.

Roomy cabin and a good dash layout. Mind you Toyota wanted £700 extra to install a cd shuttle. That's a bit of a rip off in any language.

The dealership was good, honest and to the point. Customers are treated well and in a professional manner.

The first yearly service was £106. This was at 5000 miles. The engine oil and filter was changed and the Rav was checked over by the mechanic. The oil alone on the service was £30.

All round trouble free motoring. My next car will be another Toyota.

2002 Toyota RAV4 L 2.0 liter from North America

Summary:

Cute and smart. It's a great combination!

Faults:

Nothing yet. The car was used when I got it, so the engine had already been broken in. They did a perfect job. Not a rattle or squeak anywhere.

General Comments:

My first car was a 1979 Corolla and I absolutely loved it. I've always wanted to get another Toyota and I've finally been able to save up enough for my down payment.

I've always been impressed with the Toyota reputation, and even more impressed with the handling and performance they have acquired over the years.

I fell hopelessly in love with my little Rav4 when I first saw it. It just wouldn't stop saying my name.

I love the way it handles and the fact that it rides more like a car than a burly truck. I definitely love owning a vehicle with the little silver Toyota symbol on it. And the added benefit of heated outdoor mirrors gives it extra appeal. It is very comfortable inside and very easy on the eyes.

I do have to mention that I was looking for a small SUV with enough room to be comfortable and fit my budget. The smaller SUVs like the Isuzu Amigo did not offer enough room for me. Being 5'10" and all legs, I had to find something that offered enough leg room without squishing my backseat passengers. Although it may be lacking in power, I have a lead foot so together we even out.

From skiing the slopes with my sister to plowing the back roads with my brother, I definitely get the green looks of envy. All said and done, I am most definitely happy with my Rav.
