"Mega performance but at a price"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Nothing! It is mega reliable!

General comments?

Super performance, super looks, excellent backup although authorised dealers are limited.

The performance is effortless but when you drive hard the turbos drink petrol at a furious rate which will make your head spin!

Well, fuel economy was not my concern when I bought my MKIV in 94. Now that fuel in the US is nearly what it was in the mid-80's in Europe, I'm wondering how much it will get driven. I've made some mods to the computer, not a chip, but rather changing a few resitor values to up the boost cut controller, increase the rev limit and to remove the 155 MPH speed limiter without losing traction control. I get about 5 miles to the gallon when I drive it hard... but boy is it ever FUN to blow away the ultimate driving vehicle and the "Best Germany had to offer"

I Used to have a Corvette, but now I'm getting a Supra TT. They are more comfortable, use less fuel and are easier to drive. Don't get me wrong I love Corvettes, they look and sound great, but Left hand drive is a pain and they aren't as well built.

A standard m3 with 333 bhp in USA and 343 bhp in europe will do 0-60 in 4.8 seconds, and 180 top end with limiter removed, not to mention will have instantaneous response with 6 individual throttle butterflies per cylinder, no LAG at all! the supra will do 0-60 in 5.2 seconds with 321 bhp standard (TT), the M5 with 507 bhp 0-60 in 4.7 seconds, 205 unrestricted mph, the M3 CSL will do 0-60 in 4.7 seconds, 180 mph unrestricted!, mmm lets see which is faster, germany's finest or japans? duuh, germany's of course hands down!

Raziel.

That last guy who quoted figures from BMW. where does he get off? these cars all cost over €50,000. how can you compare both? I don't know why people have to make silly statistical comments. I drive a Lexus Aristo Twin Turbo (which is for sale by the way) and I have blown and I mean blown 2003 330ci BMW's off the road. Comparing cars in much different price brackets is like comparing an R1 to a VTi civic... no sense. thanks.

What you guys seem to forget is that the tuning potential of the Supra, which can achieve well over 1000 BHP. A simple ECU remap will blow anything, get your facts straight.
