1994 Vauxhall Omega 2.0 GLS review from UK and Ireland
"What a shame"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Everything possible. The clutch failed twice and had to be completely replaced, including the mounting it sat on.
Anything electric broke or worked intermittently.
The engine uses a computer to regulate itself, and when that went wrong, the car revved at 3000 rpm basically whenever it felt like it.
The central locking didn't work properly.
Totally unreliable car.
General comments?
This car was a bargain as Omegas tend to devalue very quickly. However, I would never buy another because it was so unreliable.
When it worked properly (which wasn't often) it was a supremely comfortable cruiser, capable of overtaking with ease yet very easy to drive around town.
