2000 Volkswagen Cabrio GLS review from North America
"2000 VW Cabrio in a word: YUCK!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Convertible top hydraulics had to be replaced.
Key-less entry had to be replaced.
Keys had to be replaced.
All sorts of oxygen sensors have been replaced, twice at least.
Air bags had to be replaced, along with sensors.
Odometer had to be replaced (the whole cluster).
Fuel line disintegrated - had to be replaced.
Antenna whip had to be replaced.
Windows never have gone up and down correctly - dealer unable to train them.
General comments?
Very outdated styling, even when we bought it.
Seats/sitting position somewhat versatile, but never comfortable.
Back seats there for show only.
Fast at higher speeds, but not particularly quick at any speed.
Shifts harsh for an automatic, even a "sporty" shifter.
Supposedly a chick car - all females attracted to it for sure.
