"SS is Same as LTZ or Road master"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Brakes are not as good as they look like.

General comments?

I bought this car because its Super Sports (SS) but there is not a single thing from which you can find the difference between SS, (LTZ) or Road master.

Believe me friends this car is a normal (LTZ) or a Road master.

My previous car Road master was the same thing with luxury.

Assuming that the Impala SS that was exported to the Middle East was the same as the one sold here, it certainly was NOT the same as the Roadmaster.

The Roadmaster was and is an old person luxury car, by no means a performance car, even with the LT1 engine. The LTZ never even came with anything resembling a performance engine nor the level of heavy duty and performance equipment that the Impala SS has, so there is no comparison there either.

Absolutely disagree.

Impala SS has all the 9C1 Caprice Police package performance goodies (suspension, lower stance, heavy duty suspension oil coolers, highflow cooling, gearing, alloys 255 etc.. wow how can you even compare if you ever had one)

Where in Road-master all you get is same engine that cannot support all the potential power output of the Super Sport, forget about handling and gearing feels like old mans Cadillac with softest suspension imaginable.

You clearly never drove ether Road-master or SS in order to make such absurd comparison.

Peace.

Just to let you all know that if you go in internet and check for 0-60 times.. You will all with surprises see that the stock 1995 Buick Roadmaster with towing package IS faster than any year of 1994-1996 Impy SS era.. The differential gear plays a major role you would say,.. BUT it IS faster!!..I love B body with LT1..comfy or sporty.. from my point of view I don't like stiffer suspensions because going fast in highways exits or country roads sharp turns are not my goal.. I love the buick Motto.. Going fast with class!!..But I would take an Impy SS anytime, but found too expensive for that kind of glorious look and with a big Buick I can almost have the same performance with the same mods except when it's time to turn fast... see ya'll.

Sure the Impy SS's got the look of being bad and so beautifull but most of them has been beaten to death or too much modified till a point that some of them are now ugly, That include Caprice police 9C1. I personally checked to buy one and the ones I wanted were way too expensive even if they're already classics. A Caprice or Roadmaster were bought buy old people as they were thought and made for them and most of them were not beaten. Personally I have tried them all and couln't feel the difference performance wise. And I know that a roadmaster or Caprice equipped with towing package geared 3.23 are FASTER by a small margin than an Impy SS geared 3.08 which cannot have this option. And all that 4-5 times cheaper than Impala SS. And like the one who posted, I too doesn't care about going fast in corners or highway exits, I prefer going fast on comfy style and being a big sleeper not a looker, which is more fun.
