Replaced light under the hood that lights up when opening the hood.
Change the oil. Freed up the auto retracting belt on driver's side in the door track. It would not open up all the time.
Replaced tires with larger ones. One size bigger than allowed, then had speed guage re calibrated.
Removed a plastic tie down on the speedometer cable at the throttle area. This made the needle jump at 50 plus mph.
This car is great on gas, 28 to 32 miles per gallon. Cross winds does push it around until I put larger, wider tires on it.
My Air,defrost and heater, radio and other otions work great. The speedometer did jump a little at 50 mph plus untill I freed it up from the tie that was holding it to the motor (plastic tie someone used).
The car was well taken care of, all servicing performed and was garaged as the body and interior is near flawless.A great back and forth to work car!
This car reminds me a lot of the '88 Chevy Nova (aka Toyota Corrolla)in every field and I loved that car too.The brake light came on until i notice the ex owner just did not add enoungh affter replacing the discs.
I am the original author of this statement:
The number 4 piston cracked when the outtake valve broke and cost 1300. US dollars to repair. The motor hunts up and down the idle range 600 rpm to 1000 rpm, which I think is cuased by 1 tin box mounted on the left side firewall becuase I can hear it clicking before it changes idle. What do you folks think it could be?
There is a way to legally disconnect the motorized seat belts!
1- make sure belt retractor is in its lowest parked position with the door closed, engine off.
2-get out of car in opposite door and look down at back of seat,at the base of the pillar holding the motorized belt anchor and find a round plastic door cut into the plastic.Pop off the the round disc with a flat screw driver.
3-In the circle you will see a plastic switch with a clip holding the 2 pieces together. Take a screw driver and pry apart the connection. Do this for each front door anchor and replace the round plastic piece. The anchors will stay in place and hold your straps back without moving, this will not interfere with anything and all other options will still work!!
This is all in your owners manual in case your shoulder belts malfuction. All belts safe and secure!!!
Early entry I made about the RPM hunting up and down is cuased by the air compressor for the air/defroster selection. There is a problem in the switch that makes it turn on and off while using it.
