We "Domestic" owners, as you term it, bother to keep these trucks on the road because they can tow serious loads compared to your plastic Toyota. Some of us work for a living using our trucks.

I've got a question. What model of Toyota truck can you haul 10,700 lbs with? Answer that and I'll gladly trade my cheapy Chevy in for a TOYota...

You get 480000 miles out of your Toyota trucks, same engine and trans? Maybe I should trade in my Silverado that tows a 27 foot boat in bumper to bumper traffic 2 hours on hot weekends. That's very impressive.

I bought my 1998 4x4 with a 5.7 liter engine new in 98. I put 256,000 miles on it, towed a 21 foot boat from day one, and just sold it and bought a 2008 Z71.

My 98 was the best truck I've ever had. I hope to have the same luck. When I sold it, it still had the same engine and trans in it.

I refuse to buy Japanese stuff. Toyota still cannot touch the style and reliability of a Chevy, so keep buying and watching your Toyotas rust away; I'll keep driving my American trucks.
