I know it is a long time down the track, but in reply to the issue about not starting on a hot motor, try looking at the fuel shut off valve after the fuel filter, but before the injectors. I had a problem similar in my SsangYong 2005 2.9 diesel, and rang the repairer and they told me there had been a few with the same problem, and a bypass fixed the issue.

I have the same/similar problem. I start in the morning with no problems. After a 20 min run, it won't start after I stop for about 15 min. It will swing very well, I have to wait for about and hour, then it starts beautifully. I changed to a crank sensor from another Musso. Now when I stop, it won't start even immediately, it will swing well. But after about an hour it will start.

Does that sound like the crank sensor?
