General comments?
This car is fun to drive, but is one of the most unreliable I have ever driven. I have had every service done at an Audi dealer at the recommended interval to make sure I was getting the best service possible. The big repairs, such as timing belt/water pump I do myself. Basically I use a dealer to find problems and then fix them myself. The comment about recommended oil change interval has me somewhat concerned, because I have always done the manufacturer's recommended interval, which is 10k. I am over 100k now, so if I have done any damage it is too late now.
Besides the outrageously expensive failures such as the water pump and airbag unit the small failures are very irksome. Leak here, bad mirror there, trim peeling off of the center console all adds up to what feels like a cheap car, not a luxury automobile.
