2007 Volkswagen GTI vw golf 5 review from Netherlands
"Top German engineering!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing.
General comments?
After my Citroën C5 2.0i owned for 3 years and Xantia 2.0i for 5 years, had to get used to the firm suspension of the GTi. I am 56 years young/old.
Used to it now. Reward: perfect car. Feels very stiff, and so roadholding is A+. Acceleration: smooth and very, very strong. Thinking of getting it chipped for an extra 30 PS anyway.
Drove the car from Holland to Swiss and back through Germany: the Autobahn! Great car. Handles crisp and clean. This is the car I dreamed of for many years and now it's mine. All you want (automatic airco, rain- and lightsensor, very comfortable sportseats (cloth Tartan!), electric windows, auto dimming rear mirror and not to forget the exciting motorsound) is all there. Everyday I look atb the car I get excited! Love it, love it, etc!
