1997 Toyota Avalon xl review from North America
"Best sedan ever made"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Transmission filter, CV joint, and both front axles replaced at 222k.
Cleaned air horn and O2 sensor, tune-up (spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor), and air and fuel filter replaced at 225k.
Now needs tires and brakes and a motor for the front drivers side window. It needs a paint job too, and the engine light has been on for while now. But hey its still running good as my wife's Jaguar and my 2003 Lexus.
General comments?
At 230,000 miles this car is still rugged, reliable and fun to drive just as it was brand new, and I'm never afraid to take it anywhere far. I will always stay with Toyota/Lexus.
