2007 Jeep Wrangler 3.8l review from North America
"Poor"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have been a loyal Chrysler owner for 20+ years and have had 3 jeeps and knew the pluses and draw backs of owning a Jeep. My experience with the 2007 Wrangler unlimited Sahara has been dismal at best. The throw out bearing went out twice in the first 10k miles there has been three major safety recalls one of which caused an accident resulting in thousands of dollars damage fortunately no injuries occured. The auto locking locks have failed twice, pwr windows work intermittently. Gas mileage although better than my TJ is still dismal averaging 19 mpg with 3.21 gears. The responsiveness of the Local dealer has been exceptionally poor. I finally gave up bit the bullet and traded it in taking a huge loss. I guess you can't put a price on customer satisfaction and the safety of my family. Keep in mind this is just my experience with one Jeep. I probably just got a LEMON.
General comments?
If you can over look the aforementioned I would recommend a Unlimited. First year production issues could have been my experience. The price has been reduced and now they are offering incentives I guess $7.00 gas prices looming in the future has resulted in lower than expected sales. Living in Colorado the Jeep is excellent in the snow and deep water.
