1987 Chevrolet Celebrity review from North America
"The best dream that came true"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I had to replace a lot of things because of the age of the car. I lost count on how many times I replaced the battery, maybe because I got them from Walmart for so many years. Lately I have been going to Costco, and those battery's seem to last longer.
General comments?
I love this car so much. It's so comfortable. I would really hate if I had to trade this car for a crappy new car.
Although this Celebrity is 21 years old, I'm still making out very well with it. I refuse to go above 60mph, not only for saving gas and to be safe, but the parts are very old and I don't want strain them. I know I'm the main reason this car is still going because I drive it easy, and I always service it properly.
At 21 years of age, the paint is still very glossy because I wash and wax it every week. The inside is in great shape too, and it's big and roomy.
This was a very popular car, along with the Century, Cutlass, and Pontiac 6000; they're all the same car, so the parts are cheap and easy to get. I will see if I can get another 21 years out of this car, because it's the best.
