1990 Volvo 240 DL review from North America
"Sturdy, safe and reliable at a reasonable price"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Computer failure @ 130,000 ($500).
Worn out shocks (@ 140,000 miles).
Engine mounts (home repair $20).
Needs frequent cleaning of the air injection system (oil contamination leads to a rough idle).
Driver;s seat and passenger seats worn out.
Seat warmer no longer works.
General comments?
Love this car - it is my passion.
Upgrading with IPD suspension components, worth the money - greatly improved handling & feel.
Good club following for free support. VCOA, brickboard, IPD etc.
