1984 Lincoln Town Car Signature Series review from North America
"Reliable luxury"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The charging system doesn't work to its standard. I have to constantly recharge the battery.
Electronic windows need to be worked on.
Needs many little cosmetic touch ups.
General comments?
This car was bought for $1000. So I feel it was a very good deal. If I had more money I would restore it to its original condition.
This car is the most reliable car I have ever seen. I recently blew out a tire in the front and was still able to drive it 2 miles on the rubber coated rim to where I could change it with no damage to the rim.
Even with poor tires it climbed a 45 degree paved drive way covered with thick snow and ice. Where a 4x4 Jimmy and a Honda Civic failed my Lincoln prevailed.
It's as comfortable as it is reliable. I've slept in it many times.
