2002 Peugeot 307 XR Pr review from Czech Republic
"Space and design are not enough to be a quality car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The engine won't start 15 times. The car was towed away 3 times.
New starter motor at 400 km.
Gearbox lock problem fixed.
Transmission oil leaked after 600 km.
Ignition lock replaced (under recall).
Tail lights and driver's door leak in heavy rain.
Very often the instruments shut down for a little time.
Sometimes the closed doors unlock themselves.
Since 300 km the centre console rattles.
Driver's door and the right back door rattle.
Interior carpet detached from the footwell.
General comments?
My first and last Peugeot.
The best piece of the car is the excellent air condition.
The handling is good, but the ESP is useless.
Performance is less than I have expected.
The interior has a good design and the materials seem to be quality.
After 5000 km the car seems to be as my old Skoda after 100000 km.
The dealer has really no ideas how to repair this car.
I will never buy a Peugeot again and would recommend neither to friends nor to rivals.
