1999 Chevrolet Silverado LT review from North America
"I would buy another with a diesel though"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Whenever it is cold outside the 3rd door will not close properly. When the temperature is above about -5 degrees Celcius the door is fine. Below this point the door requires slamming to close. I have regularly maintained the hinges and closing mechanism. I am thinking it may require adjustment or the rubber stops require replacing to a softer rubber when cold.
General comments?
I am so far very happy with the rest of the truck. It carries a load
(2000 lb. camper) very well.
The truck has plenty of power and handles good with a load.
The controls and interior components are smartly located. Seats are very comfortable and heated, a concern for Canadians living in the Northern climates. Brakes are good and responsive, even with a load.
