1989 Chevrolet Beretta GT review from North America
"A high performance, high quality, long lasting, outstanding car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Fuel filter was replaced at 189,000 miles.
Fuel pump had to be replaced.
Power steering pump had to be replaced.
Water Pump had to be replaced.
Muffler had to be replaced.
The converter in the exhaust system had to be replaced.
I Had two sensors go out.
The fan in the motor went out.
A couple of hoses had to be replaced.
Interior is falling apart.
Some rust has appeared on the lower sections of the vehicle and underneath side.
General comments?
For an older car the Beretta GT is very quick.
Also a reliable car.
I complained a lot about the upkeep of this car, but I now also own a 97 Chevy Cavalier Z24 that has given me more problems than my 89 Beretta!
Parts are cheap and labor is cheap, but the car is high in quality.
