1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited review from North America

Ignition Coil had to be replaced under warranty.

Fuel pump needed replaced at 85,000 miles.

Air conditioner needed recharged at 93,200 miles - suspect leak.

At 105,000 miles, needed another recharge of a/c. Service repair shop definitely found leak in dryer/condenser unit. Too labor intensive to fix and would have to rip up dashboard. Quick fix - recharge and sealant.

Following week - no a/c cold air.

At 105,250 miles, car was stalling after a long trip. Would stall at full stops and idle very low - 1000rpms. Had to drive it like a stick - give gas in neutral.

Replace fuel filter and had crank sensor replaced.

The 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee is a good car. I'm very happy with the performance of the 4.0-6cyl. Problems have occurred and I'm suspecting its due to the occurrence of problems of the vehicle model itself.

I was very upset with the fuel pump replacement.

Another particular problem with this car is the so called "death wobble". It has to do with some suspension problems with the vehicle. It varies from jeep to jeep, but my was due to the front stabilizer bar.

I still have the vehicle. The body is in excellent shape, but its the internals that are taking its toll on my wallet as mileage and time go by.
