2000 Oldsmobile Alero GL4 review from North America
"Slick car, multiple problems!!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
1st
The mechanical track for the driver side window broke. $359.00 to fix. Still not fixed! Lack of funds.
2nd
Tried to start the car one day and all of the lists came on, but the door open buzzer sounded funny. The car would start for a few seconds and die. Change the fuel filter and that did not work. Had it towed to the dealer ship and they said it was a dead battery. Really strange signs for a dead battery.
3rd
Service Engine Soon light came on. Took it to Auto-zone to have the code read. Running lean and multiply misfires. The gentlemen told me to replace the spark plugs and if that did not work to check the fuel sensor. We replaced the spark plugs and that did not fix it. Took it back to the dealer ship and they said that two of the fuel injectors were bad and the other two were clogged. $500.00
I own two other fuel infected vehicles and neither have had any problems.
4th
Trac off light keeps coming on for no reason.
General comments?
Nice looking car.
Seems to have a lot of trouble for being 3 years old and only 32000 miles. There seems to be big problems and Olds should make it right.
