1987 Ford Thunderbird LX review from North America
"This car is great on gas and cheap to repair"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Just recently I had to have a new mapping censor installed. At the same time I also had the spark plugs and plug wires changed.
A few months ago I had to replace the water pump when it started overheating.
I also had to replace the distributor cap as well as the rotor.
My father and I also changed the front brakes in July.
In April of 2003, my electronic seats stopped working too.
General comments?
I love my car! My father bought it for me after my ford escort began to nickle and dime us.
This car handles great in the summer however has some problems in the winter due to the rear-wheel drive unit.
The seats are quite comfortable for both long and short journeys. I love the lumbar support system.
For a high school student the gas mileage is quite sufficient as well.
