2001 Chevrolet Cavalier Base review from North America
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The only problem I have with this car is the front brakes. The rotors are warped at 20,000 miles and will need to be resurfaced. The dealer said they will do this under warranty.
General comments?
This car is more than what I expected for the price. The front brake problem is relatively minor considering that the cost of the parts to do the job myself would be about $50.00. However, the dealer will take care of it for me for free. The car consistently gets 32mpg average city and highway driving, and gets 38mpg on a trip. The Cavalier is the best economy car on the road in my opinion. Where else can you get a car for $10,000 that is union made in the USA, reliable, gets good gas mileage, and is cheap to insure?
