1997 Chevrolet Cavalier review from North America
"The 1998 Cavalier is very reliable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
There was a recall to fix a potential problem with the ignition, but the dealership handled the situation and I never had any problems.
On hot, summer days it may take a few tries to start up the engine. This is never a problem on cooler days or when the car has not been sitting directly in the sun.
Sometimes, the brakes squeak.
General comments?
I love my cavalier. I have had a wonderful 4 years with this car and I am not ready to trade it in yet!
The tires have lasted for years, even in Michigan where I live.
For being a small car it holds up quite well in rain and snow which we get a lot of here!
The car is comfortable, reliable, and cute.
I would definitely recommend a cavalier to anyone who wants a sporty, reliable vehicle that gets excellent gas mileage!
